NADER AFSHAR
Nader is the Founder and Managing Partner of Bastiat Partners. Prior to creating Bastiat Partners, Nader spent nearly a decade at J.P. Morgan in New York and Europe in the investment banking division, specializing in financial institutions and commercial banks. Nader has experience domestically and internationally in advising family offices, venture capital firms, and hedge funds. Nader holds an MBA from Georgetown University.
KARAN LALL
Karan is the Managing Director at Bastiat Partners. Karan specializes in primary capital raising and secondary transactions across all industries with a focus on technology and tech-enabled companies. Karan has previously worked as an Investment Professional at Golub Capital and Mill Road Capital, and as an Investment Banker at Citi, covering a broad range of industries including technology, industrials, healthcare, and consumer/retail. Karan has experience in buy-side and sell-side M&A execution, equity and debt capital raising, private equity investing, public equity investing, direct lending, venture investing, distressed investing, restructuring, and operational turnarounds. Karan holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences and B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
